ROADS ASSISTANT X 8 POSTS Competencies Must be able to work under extreme weather conditions (i.e. hot and cold). Must be able to work, at times without the supervision of the foreman. Must be prepared to work, at times during holidays and/or Sundays. Key Performance Areas: Performing general duties on road maintenance to ensure smooth running of vehicles. Do any other work related to roads maintenance as instructed by the foreman. Parching and cleaning of roads and drains to ensure that all obstacles are removed. To perform general duties during installation of road signs and marking of roads that are in the competence of the municipality. 2. CLEANSING ASSISTANT (OFFICES) X 3 Competencies Must be able to perform routine tasks and to operate cleaning machines. Must Good interpersonal and communication skills; Must be able to read and write. Key Performance Areas: Perform daily cleaning duties in order to keep municipal buildings and environments clean; Dust and polish desks, floors and walls in all offices and waiting areas; To clean municipal offices by sweeping and mopping floors, emptying waste bins; To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, etc. and replenish consumable items (e.g. soap, toilet rolls, paper towels, etc.); To do any other duties related to office cleaning, as instructed by the supervisor.
