Cloud cover increasing this morning as moisture levels rise slowly but steadily. The increasing moisture along with a weak, slow moving disturbance passing to our north will set us up for an unsettled weekend with intervals of sun & clouds and a scattering of showers and storms. Even though the coverage of rain/storms will run higher compared to previous days, the heaviest, widespread rain will remain east of Mississippi. TODAY: Scattered showers and storms develop later this morning and afternoon; not an all day kind of rain, and the better coverage will remain east of I-55. Temperatures hold in the 84 to 87 degree range due to the clouds. GULF COAST: Periods of rain and storms along the coast this weekend, especially from Mississippi and points east into Alabama and Florida. Also, rip currents are creating dangerous conditions for swimming so please stay out of the water. Have a fantastic Friday!
