Cloud9 clinic have received its second case of Pyometra within approximately 2 weeks. One was my very own old dog Mami. I cannot begin to describe the feeling of knowing that my dog may not survive the surgery and had 48 hours to live! Mami is about 10 years old rescue and I was told not to spay her as she will not do well under anesthesia due to her age and some other medical complications she have faced. Mami is now still re covering, she had severe daihhrea, had to be under fluids and needed 24/7 attention by me. Waking up late at night to check on her and change potty pads because of the ( uncontrolled urination and stool ). It was a tough week for me and the family. she started eating 6 days after the surgery and she is so much better now and Im happy to say that she will make it! She is still under medications as she still had infection in her blood. Please! If you havent spayed your dog yet dont wait and book an appointment ASAP! If you have been through the same situation as mine please share!
