Clouds are on the increase across the Twin Tiers tonight as a series of low pressure systems head east along a frontal boundary stretched from the Mississippi Valley to the Mid Atlantic Coast. While the showers will remain to our south tonight, the cloudy skies will prevent temperatures from dropping as low as they did last night. Expect lows tonight in the upper 30s. The cloudy skies will take awhile to break up on Saturday, but we are expecting some clearing during the afternoon as high pressure builds into the region. Temperatures will remain below average with the 5 Degree Guarantee 57. The clearing skies at night and light winds will allow temperatures to tumble with frosty conditions expected overnight. Many locations will drop into the lower 30s with some upper 20s also possible in the typically cooler low spots. Despite the frosty start on Sunday, well end up with a pleasant day with mostly sunny skies and temperatures close to 60. As high pressure heads off the coast late Sunday, clouds will head back into the region. An approaching warm front on Monday will give us isolated showers with temperatures warming into the mid 60s. Our warmest day of the week will be on Tuesday, when well have the chance of making it into the low to mid 70s. Southerly winds in advance of a cold front will usher the warmer conditions into the region. Itll also pull quite a bit of moisture up along the cold front with a period of heavy rain possible late Tuesday into Wednesday. Scattered showers will linger into Thursday with temperatures dropping back into the low and mid 60s. Have a great weekend!
