Club (h) v Maidenhead - 7th October This years impressive Club match record continued with a hard fought victory over Maidenhead. This year we have so far played 12 , won 10 , halved 1 and lost 1 ( Guernsey away). You can see who the Hero’s were below, but special mentions for Alan Tubb who stepped in at the last minute, although initially he went to the Wrong Venue! To Mark Sawyer who had to play home and away with me in this fixture, away I only played 4 holes before injuring my wrist and at home I played 18 holes but may as well have been injured! And lastly to John Butcher whose cry of anguish on the 18th could be heard in Oxford as he 3 putted the last to lose his match on the last!
