Clutching her face with one hand as if to hide and holding onto her other arm in a self-embrace with the other hand, she felt a chill as her exposed and bared back felt the breeze enter through the open window. Pushing her long dark mane to the side, she looked at herself in the mirror, angry at her sadness and emotions, knowing that it had been over for some time, and yet finding it so hard to forget the pain and the one who had caused it. Then, somehow, her anger replaced her pain, and suddenly she no longer felt sad but determined. Surely he was not thinking of her with the other woman in his arms, and now she vowed that she would no longer think about him. The world was vast and people numerous, and she was going to meet them and discover new places. No longer would she waste her time on a man who had long ago discarded her.
