Most recently as EVP & CIO at Moneygram International, Mubashar transformed a business with incoherent processes and long-neglected complex legacy systems to an organization delivering innovative products using online and mobile applications at lower costs. There he turned around the company’s core enterprise programs automating settlement, services, and compliance processes. Previously as SVP & CIO at Fiserv, he led the initiatives that increased the organization’s capability, simplified a complex systems environment, and drove a process-centric culture. Earlier, Mubashar built and transformed the IT organizations of General Electric’s Security, Commercial Finance, Aero Energy, and North American Engine Services divisions. His leadership in these newly acquired or restructured high growth businesses included the dramatic turnaround of projects and leading Six Sigma, digitization, e-Commerce, and simplification initiatives. Mubashar holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University, where he was inducted into the Eta Kappa Nu engineering honorary. He is a graduate of GE’s Management Development Program and is Six Sigma certified.
