Coach Hails Para-soccer Stakeholders By Lekan Adedeji The coach of Lead Para Soccer of Lagos State, Agidi Olujuwon has given kudos to stakeholders of the sports for the success he says it has been enjoying in the state and in Nigeria as a whole. Olujuwon recognised the efforts of the vice president of Para-Soccer Federation of Nigeria, Architect Theo Lawson, who the coach says does not relent in seeing to the progress of the sport in the country and the welfare of the players despite the fact that some Nigerians that are capable of rendering assistance ignore them. The coach stated further that he also appreciates other stakeholders like the sponsor of his team, Tayo Popoola who out of the love he has for the physically challenged people, spends his money and time just to make them happy as it is seen in the recent Promasidor Tourney in which his side participated. Olujuwon is also grateful for the attitude his team exhibited during the tournament as they did not compare themselves with those players whose clubs were sponsored by companies. He said they appreciate their sponsor Popoola who does not care about the fact that he will not get anything tangible in return but satisfied with the smile he put in the face of his players. “I am pleased about the stakeholders in this sport who are spending their time and money to see that the sport is growing in the country. “Vice President of the federation, Architect Theo Lawson has been performing very well to take the sport to higher level. “So is the sponsor of my team, Tayo Popoola, who singlehandedly supports the team, with these people and others that have interest of the sport in mind, there is future for the sport in the country,” Olujuwon concluded.
