Coaches Brooke and Tate McMillan recently coached many of our schools crossfitters at the CrossFit Teen Gauntlet. The Gauntlet was co-hosted by SCPS CrossFit Inspiration as well as CrossFit Hyperformance. This event is held WORLDWIDE and is a chance for our youth to compete. Freshman, Josh Kelley, finished first in the world last year in his age group and moved on to the next round in which he placed 6th in the world. CrossFit and the Gauntlet have grown in popularity this past year and this year we had 20 athletes who competed for SCPS CrossFit Inspiration! As a whole, CrossFit Inspiration athletes finished higher as a whole than any other gym in the country!. Here are this years Gauntlet results as of now: Varsity Male: Josh Kelley, placed 2nd in the Gauntlet and 35th worldwide JV Female: Landon Jones, placed 1st at the Gauntlet and 7th worldwide JV Male: Ty Rainwater, placed 1st at the Gauntlet and 63rd worldwide Female Novice:Gauntlet finishes 1st--Skylar Ackerman, 8th worldwide 2nd--Kayla Frady, 12th worldwide 3rd--Dejovia Davis, 20th worldwide 4th-- Taylor Hammerstein, 28th worldwide 5th--Macy Sheley, 30th worldwide Male Novice: Gauntlet Finishes 1st--Eric Davidson, 2nd worldwide 2nd--Mark Carlson, 4th worldwide 3rd--TJ Cowart, 9th worldwide 4th--Clay Dekle, tied for 15th worldwide 5th--Tyler Richards, tied for 17th worldwide 6th--Wilson McCubbins, tied for 15th worldwide 7th--Gavin Jefferies, 19th worldwide 9th- Garret Bradley, 24th worldwide 11th-- Casey Amick, 39th worldwide Middle School students: Tyler Pelkey, Julia Remion, and Will Hale also represented SCPS CrossFit inspiration and competed at the Gauntlet.
