Coaching centres give damn to Govt guidelines They Didn’t Bother To Submit Requisite Information For Registration: Div Com Srinagar, Mar 14: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Shailendra Kumar Friday said the coaching centres have failed to submit requisite information and documents for getting mandatory registration. “ We had asked the tuition centre owners to submit documents and other information regarding infrastructure in a prescribed format. Except two coaching centres, none has submitted the requisite papers to seek registration,” Kumar told Greater Kashmir . Chairman Coaching Centres Association ( CCA), GN Var alleged that some officials have misled Divisional Commissioner on the issue. “ We have submitted all the requisite documents and information with the office of the Directorate of School Education regarding 140 tuition centres operating in Kashmir. However, some officials are creating unnecessary hurdles for some vested interests,” he said. Meanwhile, students enrolled in various coaching centres here said that tuition points are violating the directions issued by the divisional administration. They said that one of the reputed coaching centres at Baghat, Parraypora here is forcing around 400 students to sit together in a hall for classes. “ Often students have to stand on feet in the absence of seating and space in the hall. When we object, we are asked to leave the centre,” said a group of aggrieved students. A group of students, who submitted the written statement in Greater Kashmir office, said that earlier the Directorate of Education team had recommended closure of that coaching centre after finding it violating norms and lacking in proper infrastructure. “ We have deposited Rs 26000 for completion of syllabus in medical stream. While offering admissions, they are very sympathetic and once the student deposits fee, no one is ready to listen to our grievances,” they said.
