Coachs Comment Congratulations to the twelve Mariners who turned out this evening for an excellent training session. We also received apologies from four players who were unable to attend. Thanks to Pete Allen for putting in a guest appearance and taking a coaching clinic on rucking. Phil is team manager for the remaining two games this season. This gives us time to blood captain elect Adam Harris to develop the skills in preparation for next season. Adam has some great ideas and I believe he has the potential to be a very successful leader. We have a strong team for this Saturday but Phil will welcome another five players to sign up to increase the depth of the squad. Players are required to arrive at the Pavilion, Woodside at 1.45 pm and changed on the pitch at 2.00 pm. Please comment below if you are available for this Saturday and have not yet informed Phil. Finally, we are looking forward to next season. We need to establish who in the Lymington Mariners Club are prepared / dedicated to commit to a position of responsibility in the club. Ideally we need to know who are prepared to stand for election in advance of the AGM to avoid the farce of voting in people who fail to commit to their responsibility. Here is a list of posts up for grabs for YOU to consider. (Inform one of the present committee members if you are interested in standing for a position) President, Chairman, Fixture Secretary, Treasurer, Social Secretary, Club Manager, Team Manager, Pavilion Project Manager, Captain, Vice Captain, Equipment Manager, Kit Manager, Fund Raising Manager, Coach, Assistant Coach, Tour Manager, Recruitment Manager, First Aid Kit Manager. Your Club needs you. Here is your opportunity to stand up and be counted. Remember the adage, the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Write your comments below -set the ball rolling Adam, by putting your name forward for captain.
