Coast Guard, local police continues search for missing passengers of sunken boat in Mindoro PCG: Two male passengers are still missing in Mindoro when rough seas and bad weather capsized the motor boat transporting them to Antique last Wednesday, October 15. The personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) San Jose De Buenavista together with Philippine National Police (PNP) Caluya are still conducting search and rescue operation for Rey Daniel and Willy Blanco between Mindoro and Semirara Island. Accordingly, a certain Cherel Daniel received call from one of the victims asking for rescue assistance. Initial investigation revealed, that the victims departed barangay San Francisco, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro enroute to Semirara Island, Caluya, Antique to visit their relatives when the incident occurred. Around 4:40 pm the following day, the search and rescue operation was terminated due to unfavorable sea condition with negative results. CGSS San Jose De Buenavista advised local fisherman,coastal residents,vessels and watercrafts transiting in the area to be on the look-out for the missing victims if sighted.
