Cock Sparrer was amazing! Wonderful time. Best spirit at the show I have seen in something that size in a long while. Im rather found of the Bouncing Souls, as well. It was good to see Street Dogs again, as well. The show was outside, alongside a short street. It started raining when Bouncing Souls were playing Do You Want to Dance? and the answer came back as a resounding YES!. It dried up in time for the headliner, and we all promptly lost our shit. They opened with Riot Squad, and ended the encore with Were Coming Back. Its a beautiful thing to share something in common with strangers, and to know how important it is to each other. It aint the same as a pop hit heard on the radio, with the lyrics staining peoples minds like an annoying advertising jingle. Cock Sparrers music isnt something someone memorizes; its known by heart. 1982s Shock Troops remains in my mind as one of the best punk records of all time. Definitely in my top three. I threw my arms around the necks of total strangers and we danced and sang those songs at the top of our lungs. You wont get that at a Miley Cyrus show, or whatever pop radio tries to sell you. Its simply not to be had. I legitimately feel sorry for those other people, because I dont think they can love anything as much as we angry overgrown kids love this band. Youre missing an entire spectrum of human emotions, and its just not fair for you. It is our good fortune to have found meaning in something in such an unlikely place. Cheers! Until next time.
