Cockopalooza is back in Elkhart for an 11th year. The annual event raises money for area cancer patients and their families. This year, organizers hope to double attendance numbers by expanding to a bigger, more central location. The event was created in honor of then-high school student, Corey Cox, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2004. His friends wanted to help, so they created the game “Freedomball,” and invited others to a backyard fundraising tournament. Since then, it’s grown to include hundreds of area community members. Kate Chappell WNDU met with a family that received a great deal of help from this campaign, and she has their story here: wndu/a?a=275577431
