Coda: Im leaving this account in permanent and everlasting limbo. My only interaction will be to check my messages every week or so with FB Messenger on my mobile. This is the best compromise I can manage in order to be reachable by those who prefer this method of communication. However, michel@sneak-thief will always work :) If theres one thing anybody can and will know of me, its that I am a deliberate and intentional being. Ive always put a lot of heavy thought into most of my decisions. Furthermore, I strive for meaningful interactions with people. The increasingly banal news-headline hooks, fake activism (change the world with a like), time-wasting top-10 lists, and yellow journalism are sickening to my core - a sad opiate that distracts us from truly engaging with the world, from getting our hands dirty and doing beautiful things. I also wish to pursue a music career that doesnt have to use Facebook. Ive come to despise everything Facebook stands for, not to mention being at the whim of a huge corporate juggernaut that filters my perception and communication with others. Do you know how many dozens of times I clicked sort news by Most Recent and how it would always reset it to Top Stories? Shit like that makes me crazy. Im weary from always trying customize my newsfeed and privacy preferences to work around these intentional manipulations. I dont want my interactions with the lovely people with whom I have important personal connections filtered by a corporate algorithm - which is why Im retaining my account in order to occasionally check my unfiltered messages.
