Code Red Umeed... 1st Episode tonight at 10:30pm on COLORS TV and at 10pm on Colors TV UK (Im not sure about the timings in other countries). Umeed (Hope) is a very special concept, it centers around suicide prevention. How to recognise the signs and save lives. I play the lead, Dr. Prashant Bhaskar who, along with his assistant Ashima, work very hard at reading and recognising the signs before its too late. After Powder Ive been looking really hard for something special to do on television, to take the Powder work forward. Last year I tried my hand at Everest and this year Ive taken on Code Red Umeed. In Everest the social issue tackled was the girl child. In Code Red Umeed its suicides. Both of these social issues are important and need a lot of dedication and attention.
