Cohen is doing much better today. His bleeding has mostly stopped. The drs believe that his GI bleed was a combination of things; new intestine connection could have had some clots or scabbing that causes irritation when he passed them w the combo of lovenox can cause significant bleeding. Also he is on an Iv antibiotic meropenem, which has a rare side effect of GI bleeding. And lastly he was having some withdraw from Ativan and a symptom of benzodiazepine withdraw is loose stools. All of those combined appear to be the reason for yesterdays event. During the event Cohen remained stable he just lost a lot of blood very quickly. I was extremely worried he was going to the OR for another bowel surgery. This boy sure is a fighter. What a true miracle. We appreciate all the prayers and support. I tell him everyday that hes famous and so many people care about him. I cannot wait until he is home and Im posting smiling happy Cohen pictures!
