Coincidence, or...something else? You decide! On the bus this afternoon, I saw a fancy watch on another riders wrist. The phrase I really like that watch popped into my head. Then, the image of Robert Redford (I think), in a heist movie from the 70s, staking out the bank from a doorway somewhere in New York City. A junkie approaches and speaks the above phrase. Redford, distracted, ignores the junkie. No, I REALLY like that watch, says the junkie, and you hear snick!, and Redford looks down at the knife. Rolls his eyeballs, takes off the watch, and gives it to the junkie (not wanting to blow his cover). Then, also remembered that this movie contained the phrase Afghanistan Bananastand, as a codeword to activate a hypnotic trance in a bank guard. But couldnt remember the name of the movie. .... At home this evening, channel flicking, discovered the new lineup by cable has all the movie channels grouped together -- very convenient for us compulsive flicker hounds. Flicked all the way to the ENC - Encore - channels. Oldies. What was playing on one of the ENC channels? Hot Rock. With Robert Redford. .... What does it all mean??
