Cola has been in harts care for approximately one year. He is not - TopicsExpress

Cola has been in harts care for approximately one year. He is not ready for adoption (yet) but has quite the story to tell. Cola was targeted by the Breed Specific Legislation in Ontario and had to make a great escape down West to Alberta. He was rescued by Pitbulls For Life and upon his arrival surprised everyone because he weighed in at a mere 16lbs and was a Boston Terrier Cross of some kind (and nowhere near a Bully mix). He was transferred to hart and has been cared for by hart foster parents for the last year. Cola suffers from what some would lovingly dub small dog syndrome and has re-activity towards other canines, felines, and small animals. As a result of these personality quirks (aka behaviors) he has not been adoptable. He recently packed his bags and moved in to 780 Kennels Edmonton for a course in doggy behavior and in just a few days has made incredible progress! One week ago he couldnt be around anything with four legs. We have no doubt in our mind (and heart) that Cola will eventually be adoptable as a manageable dog.
