Cold eyes? I think Ayers saw in Megyns eyes a reflection of his own heart. Bill Ayers was a forerunner of todays Progressive liberal movement, at a time when the peace movement, cold war, human rights, civil rights movement, and the political pressure being exerted upon the United States by the USSR all combined to create a burgeoning culture that has slowly eaten away at American society ever since, to the point that the precepts of this once despised ideology has become acceptable to many, who did not live through that era and have not had the opportunity to know the evil within. Back then the movement was one of violence, when the less perceptive, such as Ayers, didnt realize that a violent revolution in this country isnt possible because Americans basically love this place. But he learned, and his ilk have been planting the seeds of hate and intolerance amongst the deprived, disenchanted, misinformed, uncaring and opportunistic ever since. They have created an alternate reality in which their Utopian dream can exist. Any reasonable eye would view such a spectre coldly.
