Cold weather arrives today and lasts into the weekend. High temperatures will be reached earlier in the day, around noon, around 48-50 degrees, with cold air rushing in this afternoon and overnight. With the winds increasing out of the North, wind chill values by mid-afternoon will already make it feel like the middle 30s today. There will be mostly cloudy skies during the day, with clear conditions returning tonight. Winds will stay elevated overnight, increasing the wind chill to make it feel much colder than the air temperature. There is the possibility we will see record lows Thursday morning, around 15-20 degrees with wind chills early morning in the single digits briefly inland. Highs Thursday under full sunshine will only make it to 32-35, and will feel below freezing all day! Expect another cold, 20 degrees morning by Friday.
