Colder air has filtered in across the WBTV viewing area this morning and so were greeted with readings in the chilly 30s. There is a Winter Weather Advisory out through Noon today for counties along and north of I-40, where freezing rain and sleet are possible through the morning hours. Other than the icing threat up north early on, overcast skies, chilly breezes and pockets of rain and drizzle will dominate todays forecast. Temperatures will hold in the 30s for most communities all day long, and pockets of freezing rain and sleet will be a possibility tonight through early Tuesday morning with lows again near 32°. Skies will likely stay fairly cloudy throughout the day on Tuesday, but the threat of rain will be a bit lower. After morning clouds break a bit, some sunshine is expected Wednesday with temps rebounding to the seasonal low 60s during the afternoon. The end of the work week looks much better than the beginning, with warmer highs close to 70°. Hope you have a great St. Patricks Day!
