College of Medicine Vacancies The College of Medicine, a Constituent College of the University of Malawi, has a temporary job vacancy in its research ethics committee (CoMREC). The College is urgently seeking suitably qualified, highly motivated and hardworking candidates to fill the vacant position as stated below. Temporary appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 3 months only(January – March, 2015). Temporary Data Clerk (2 posts)– 1 tenable at CoM(BT) and 1 tenable at NAC Office (LL) Duties and responsibilities Under the overall direction of the CoMREC Administrator with direct supervision from the CoMREC Compliance Officer from [CoM] the scope of work for the Data Entry Clerk shall include: The input of information in the CoMREC research database in a prescribed manner and this will involve: i Updating the database to reflect current and ongoing research projects ii Creating a database capturing all inactive and/or closed research projects in CoM and our research affiliates. iii Harmonize the CoMREC and Research Support Centre [RSC] database iv Liaise with ICT to develop a system or mechanism to remind investigators about annual renewal of their research projects v Develop a profile of all ongoing research projects based on protocol Executive summaries vi Other duties assigned Qualifications& Experience • Diploma in ICT from recognized training institution • Relevant work experience • Should be ready to report for duties in January, 2015.
