Colorado Parks and Wildlife Area Wildlife Manager JT Romatzke of the Northwest Region has been named the Officer of the Year by the Association of Midwest Fish and Game Law Enforcement Officers. JT began his career at CPW in 2002 and has been the AWM in Area 7 (Grand Junction, Fruita and the surrounding areas) since 2009. JT was recognized for his tireless work on a variety of important issues including the ongoing effort to bring a world-class shooting facility to the Grand Valley, working on wildlife mitigation plans with several oil and gas companies, his tireless efforts enforcing Colorados wildlife laws and his leadership in creating Hunters Hunting Hunger, a Grand Junction program dedicated to providing donated game meat to the needy. The award is well deserved. Congratulations JT!
