Colorado floods: We see storms, fires, natural destruction of this scale on the news every day, but when it hits a place you have been, a place you love, and place where you have loved ones, it is so heartbreaking. We were so lucky to have had the chance to visit Boulder this summer, to see where my son Erik lives, and loves his environment. We got to see the restaurant he has had such a huge part in getting started and beginning to succeed (with plenty of struggle and hardship along the way). He showed me the beautiful places he loves to hike and bike in, we visited Estes Park, sat along the river and watched the humming birds dance over the water. Today as Colorado wakes to assess the damage and see what is left, I am very heartbroken for this beautiful paradise.
