Colossians 1:28 Perfect in Christ Jesus. Dont u feel in ur own soul that perfection is not in u? Doesnt every day teach u that? Every tear which trickles from ur eye, weeps imperfection; every harsh word which proceeds from ur lip, mutters imperfection. U have 2 frequently had a view of ur own heart 2 dream 4 a moment of any perfection in urself. But amidst this sad consciousness of imperfection, here is comfort 4 u--u r perfect in Christ Jesus. In Gods sight, u r complete in him; even now u r accepted in the Beloved. But there is a 2nd perfection, yet 2 be realized, which is sure 2 all the seed. Isnt it delightful 2 look forward 2 the time when every stain of sin shall be removed from the believer, and he shall be presented faultless b4 the throne, w/o spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing? The Church of Christ then will be so pure, that not even the eye of Omniscience will see a spot or blemish in her; so holy & so glorious, With my Saviours garments on, Holy as the Holy One. Then shall we know, taste, & feel the happiness of this vast but short sentence, Complete in Christ. Not till then shall we fully comprehend the heights & depths of the salvation of Jesus. Doesnt ur heart leap 4 joy at the thought of it? Black as we r, we shall be white 1 day; filthy as we r, we shalt be clean. Oh, it is a marvellous salvation this! Christ takes a worm & transforms it into an angel; Christ takes a black & deformed thing & makes it clean & matchless in His glory, peerless in His beauty, & fit 2 be the companion of seraphs (an angel of the highest rank). O my soul, stand & admire this blessed truth of perfection in Christ.
