Colossians 3:25 NKJV says But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality. We can use this verse as a hope of vengeance against people who have hurt or wronged us. But notice the last 5 words: and there is no partiality. That says to me, if I dont handle it correctly, then I will be repaid also. Verses13 & 14 says bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Lets walk in light of the gospel, for others, not our desires & recompenses! God doesnt overlook when we do wrong because we are saved! He wants us ALL to so what is right. Our hearts should desire what is right. So no more saying, Lord, you seen how good I was and how they treated me! Sniff, sniff. I want you to bless them, even though they did me wrong. No more self-centeredness. Thank you Father for you mercy and patience. Please forgive me of my pride, selfishness, and manipulation towards you. I am committing those thoughts and behaviors to the cross because you took care of those there. Im made new in you and Im walking in that newness today! Thank you for deliverance from self-pity! In Jesus name!
