Comcast took out a $60,000 full-page color ad in a major metropolitan newspaper over the weekend to tout its support of network neutrality, the principle of treating all data equally on the Internet. In it, Comcast flaunts that it is the only Internet company legally bound by the rules of network neutrality. And thats true — it was set as a condition of its merger with NBC in 2010. But what Comcast doesnt tell you is that the company is only legally bound by those rules until 2018. After that, who knows?
