Come January 2014, the Lagos state government will NOT allow commercial bus drivers to work more than 8 hours @ a stretch. The government will impound any vehicle whose driver violates this law. To ensure commercial bus drivers comply to this rule, they are to register their vehicles which will help the government officials to monitor and ensure compliance of this law. How will the government officals be able to know the hours commercial bus drivers had worked considering the fact that some drivers start work @ 4am while government officals resume work @ 8am? A difference of 4 hours. The law seems impracticable. Let see how it will work.
