Come One, Come All! On Sunday, October 5, the Canton of Foxvale will be holding an open demo at the Batavia Public Library. Library hours are 12 – 5; we can’t start setting up before noon, the demo starts when the first mundane wanders in, and we have to be done and out by 5. Past demos in this space have included heavy fighting and group dancing; tables and chairs will be available that can be used for displays, demonstrations or activities. The room is equipped with several projection screens, but projection equipment is not available from the library. There is also a kitchen which can be used to store and serve food but not to prepare it. Outside food can be brought in but not catered (that is, we can buy bread and cheese and fruit and make them available to the public, but we can’t bring in a Subway party tray). The library has an onsite coffee shop. If you have a particular presentation you would like to schedule please contact either Dori Becker/Berngard Solgai, Foxvale Chatelaine, or Aggie Powell-Berger/Hillary of Langforde, Foxvale Seneschal, If you have something you would like to display or demonstrate it would be helpful to know about it in advance so that we make sure we have enough tables and chairs, but we will do our best to accommodate last minute additions (it’s live theatre, after all). You do not need to have a particular display or demonstration in order to come out and be part of things, however – the more people in costume we have wandering around, the better.
