Come along with me as we continue to study I Chronicles 29:17 {2} Lets define willing Websters states it is: : not refusing to do something : quick to act or respond : doing something or ready to do something without being persuaded : done, made, or given by choice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I Chronicles 29:17 17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Are we quick to act or respond when Jesus asked us to do something? In church, sometimes and worship, we feel that nudge to walk out of pew when no one else is doing it do we hesitate or are we quick to respond to the nudge from God? To be willing is a great blessing. Most will never understand what it means to be truly willing. In being willing we have to be careful. We have to be so attuned to his voice but there is no doubt that it is his voice we are hearing. The devil will try to tell us that it couldnt possibly be of God for us to do whatever it is that is being asked of us. But what we have to remember is that God will never ask us to do anything that goes against his word. If it doesnt go against his word and does not harm you what is keeping you from obeying the word of God? Lets look at a few verses from the Bible and see what it says about being willing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Judges 5:2 Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. I Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. Isaiah 1:19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Based on these verses its easy to see that when people are willing God is: ~your defender. ~found of you ~you shall eat the good of the land If you are not willing he will cast you off. I never want to be cast off from God. It is so important to be willing. Now, lets talk about being willing enough to obey god and take up your cross and follow Him. Every single one of us has a cross. The cross is individual to us. It is between us and God. Only God and I understand what cross I have been asked to carry. We all have a choice when we are presented with our cross. We can choose to pick it up or walk away. Throughout our journey in life we will be presented with a choice again and again. Thats when we must take ourselves to an altar so that it will never be said of us as it was set of the rich young ruler in Mark 10. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Life continues we have to be sure of the words we heard Jesus speak to our souls about our cross and about his will for our lives. I truly believe that when we learn to be joyfully willing there will be a special blessing above and beyond what we ever could have dreamed. These blessings are not necessarily things but spiritual. I long to be closer yet to God. We have to remember that was great anointing comes a great price. Learning to #BeJoyfulinAllThings Is not something most can do when your world crumbles. When you realize how important worship is when you will truly Have learned to #BeJoyfulinAllThings
