Come commemorate the 235th anniversary of the Battle of Brier - TopicsExpress

Come commemorate the 235th anniversary of the Battle of Brier Creek. On Sunday March 2nd our brave company of Patriots (Redcoats welcome too) will depart Newington Georgia at 9am on a 45 MILE DIRT ROAD RIDE. This ride up in the country travels mostly well maintained dirt roads, and offers open skys and views of gently rolling farmland. Newington is past Springfield north on Hwy 21 about an hours drive from Savannah. Mountain bikes or cyclocross bikes are appropriate. Bring two water bottles, (or a camelbak), and food. There are no stores on this route, but a water and rest stop will be arranged at the 25 mile mark. Pace will be easy with some opportunities to hammer on ahead if you like on some of fast hard packed sections. Please RSVP so I can plan for water at the rest stop, either on Facebook or at billi1905@yahoo, or text me at 912_398_0605 Bill Bailey
