Come on artists!! Help out the Pee Dee Coalition. Donate a tiny work - small enough to fit into a 3 1/2 plastic egg. These will be sold at during V-Week. Allison Steadman left the eggs at the Art Trail Gallery for you to pick-up. The Gallery is open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday - starting this week. She needs the eggs by Monday, if at all possible, or at the latest by noon on Thursday. Here are the details: Eggs at the Art Trail Gallery for Artists Donating Work for the Vagina Monologues (V-Week March 24 - 29th at FMU) Contact Person at the University: Allison Steadman, Fine Arts Faculty, 843-661-1685 1. Who can have an egg? Any artist willing to donate a work to be sold for $5 can have an egg or multiple eggs. 2. Do artists have to identify their work inside the egg so the purchaser knows who made the item inside? That is at the discretion of the artist, but if included it should be inside the egg with the artwork 3. What do the artists do with their egg(s) once they put their artwork in them? Contact Allison Steadman ([email protected] [preferred], 661-1685) to arrange for pick-up. Or, they may be dropped at the Fine Arts Office in the Hyman Fine Arts building on the FMU campus. Unless otherwise specified by the artist, unsold eggs will be sold at next year’s event. 4. Will artists receive recognition for donating the contents for eggs? Artists’ names will be included in the Vagina Monologues program and posted at the Art Shows. If you are planning to contribute, please get your name to Allison Steadman by Monday the 24th in order to be included in the program. If you miss that deadline but contribute, your name will still be posted at the Art Shows. 5. When do the eggs need to be completed? We would like as many eggs by the 24th as possible, but will continue to accept eggs through 12pm the 27th.
