Come on guys…being granted a prohibitory injunction does not mean you’ve actually gotten a defamatory case. But as I stated some days ago, Shatta Wale needs to drop those useless/offensive antics and concentrate on his career. In the Shatta Wale/Charter House case, granting injunction is the best and wise thing to do---a Kangaroo court will even see this. Charter House could suffer loss where damages will not be adeqaute if injunction is not granted and Shatta goes ahead to record more videos. What real loss will Shatta suffer from having been prohibited from recording a Charter House related video? NONE…This is even for his own good. So even though pre-trail injunctions very much depend on balancing of convenience, in this case, there is nothing to balance---it is pretty straight forward. I even think the request for order of injunction was a waste of time---because there was no reasonable suspicion or indication that Shatta Wale was going to record any of those videos again…But maybe, that is a legal tactics to scare Shatta Wale to death before the main defamatory case is heard. I will not be shocked if I hear that Shatta Wale’s people have begged and want things to be settled out of court. Without balls, injunctions can scare you…LOL There are so many cases where injunction have been granted but the claimant has not been successful with the main case. Anyway, on the real issue? Defamatory or not? It is pretty obvious---Shatta can’t argue free speech or anything I can think of but what is the magnitude of loss suffered by Charter House and the two CEOs? It is always difficult to quantify reputational damages but hmmm… Then again, does Shatta Wale even have that kind of money-100,000 GHS? My Tort law lecturer at undergraduate level used to say; only sue people who have means to pay because you may get the court order (paper) but if the person has no means to pay---it is pretty useless. All the same, Charter House may be looking for other ‘achievable’ simple orders like ‘retraction and apology’. For the money deaaaa; ask O.J Simpson…LOL Now the many cotton head Shatta Wale fans who do not even buy his concert tickets and yet sit on social media to say fire bun Charter House or anyone who talks sense; if you are a real man with balls why dont you record your own videos and insult Charter House on behalf of Shatta Wale---and then we will see lol. If you want to support an artiste, buy his concert tickets and his albums---not just throwing insults. One Direction and Justin Biebers fans are aggressive but at least they buy their concert tickets and albums.
