Come walk with fellow believers and proclaim Jesus as the Light of Memphis! This event is sponsored by our Catholic friends in conjunction with Magnificat Day . They are inviting all who name the name of Jesus Christ to join in a procession to bring the presence of Christ to the streets of our city. You are invited to bring a candle (and a wax shield!) to the Sheraton Hotel at 250 N. Main Street at 5PM on Saturday, November 1. Those lining up at the Sheraton will join with those exiting the Cannon Center for the procession. Christian leaders will be joining this procession: Bishop Terry Steib of the Catholic Diocese, Bishop Ed Stephens of Golden Gate Cathedral, Dr. Maxie Dunnam and Dr. Shane Stanford of Christ United Methodist Church, Bartholomew Orr of Brown Baptist Church, and Dr. Dannny Sinquefield of Faith Baptist Church. Pray4Memphis (Carol Leake & Gail Duron) will be joining this group to consecrate Memphis to Jesus! This will be televised LIVE on the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), so lets show the 140+ countries who will be watching that Memphis is a Godspot....a place where the Holy Spirit is alive and thriving! We hope and pray for thousands to follow Christ down Main Street Mall to Court Square. Our city has had its share of negative publicity in recent weeks, its come time to humbly lift Memphis up to the Lord and to come together to ask for His healing of our city, and so we ask you for your participation and to invite many others.
