Comedy Who: Doctor Who has attracted many comedians and comedy actors to the show and i thought i give a brief outline of some that have appeared, just for a change ;) Peter Butterworth and Bernard Bresslaw- Both of these gentlemen appeared in lots of Carry On Films and became household names. Butterworth would appear in The Time Meddler and The Dalek Masterplan as The Monk and Bresslaw appeared as the hissing Ice Warrior Varga. Peter Sallis- Best known for playing Norman Clegg in Last Of The Summer Wine and Mr Clegg in First Of The Summer Wine and also Wallace in the classic hit Wallace And Gromit. Sallis appeared as scientist Penley in The Ice Warriors. John Challis- Known worldwide as Aubrey Boycie Boyce in Only Fools And Horses appeared in The Seeds Of Doom as Scorby who was a hitman for the strange Harrison Chase. Geoffrey Palmer- This man has appeared in many Who stories such as The Mutants, The Silurians and Voyage Of The Damned. Palmer maybe best known as Lionel in As Time Goes By. Richard Briers- Played the chief caretaker in Paradise Towers. He maybe known mainly for The Good Life and Ever Decreasing Circles. Ken Dodd- Standup comedian and comedy sketch show icon appeared as The Tollmaster in Delta And The Bannermen. Lastly Peter Kay who played The Abzorbaloff in Love And Monsters is a very popular comedian as we all know. (Andrew)
