Comet Lovejoy C/2014 Q2 captured last night up at Conical Peak in the Dome Valley region of Northland, the image is made up from 25 x 30 sec exposures captured at ISO3200 with a Canon 60Da through a Canon 200 mm lens set at f/3.2, stacked in DSS with 12 dark frames subtracted, I had much better polar alignment with my iOptron Sky Guider last night and managed to capture the Comet before it sunk too low into the muck Wanted to get that bright star that the comet looks like its heading for in the frame so had to sacrifice a little bit of tail, going to go after it again tonight with the Canon 6d so that way with the full frame Ill get the full tail. ;)
