Comic Book Fans and animal lovers: We’re having an in store signing on Saturday January 18th to celebrate our new location and raise funds for a great cause. Animal advocate Scott Lope of Animal Warriors and the Discovery Channel and Superstar comic book artist/writer Phil Jimenez of both Marvel and DC Comics will be on hand to sign copies of their Wolverine story, “Come Conquer the Beasts.” With rising issues involving animal poaching and mistreatment, the two-issue story arc delivers a pulse-pounding look into what’s actually happening, while framing it in the Marvel Universe and Wolverine’s point of view. The story has received very positive reviews and is starting to get noticed within the animal rights community. This Saturday, the pair behind the story, Scott Lope and Phil Jimenez will be on hand to sign copies of each issue. Jimenez is well known for his outgoing personality and amazing sketches of your favorite characters. The proceeds from all the Savage Wolverine sales go to Lope’s Animal Warriors foundation. The money raised will go towards fighting animal poachers and in particular, saving the lives of Rhinos.
