Comic-Con 2014: Keifer Sutherland, Jon Cassar talk ‘24: Live Another Day’ SAN DIEGO >> During the first day of Comic-Con International, ‘24’ star Kiefer Sutherland joined show executive producer Jon Cassar to discuss what may or may not be the end of the action-packed FOX series. The duo talked all things Jack Bauer and how the character has transitioned over the past nine seasons. ”It’s a different Jack Bauer,” Cassar said of the character in the ninth season. “This is a meaner Jack.” Sutherland agreed saying that he went back and watched the first episode of the first season and was shocked at the change. “There was so much hope in this guy,” Sutherland said. “With everything he’s lost, he’s done. … There’s nothing in his immediate future he’s fighting for.” During the question and answer portion of the panel, many fans wanted to know what was next for Bauer and ‘24.’ Neither Sutherland nor Cassar gave a definite answer, leaving fans hoping that the character will one day see more action even though ‘24’ has ended. “We’re still talking about the movie,” Cassar said. “It’s still out there.
