Comic-Con: The Vampire Diaries Entertainment Weekly Interview In addition to The Originals cast, The Vampire Diaries cast was also interviewed by Entertainment Weekly while at Comic-Con. EW interviewed Ian Somerhalder (Damon), Paul Wesley (Stefan), Nina Dobrev (Elena), Candice Accola (Caroline), Kat Graham (Bonnie), and Caroline Dries, executive producer. At the beginning of the interview Ian was tweeting that “We’re live on ew right now!!!!” And speaking of Twitter, the first Twitter question asked was about Delena, and Nina responded that it was a fun summer for Damon and Elena, and since Elena is going to college they’re going to try and make the “long-distance thing” work. Nina looked at Ian and asked if she was allowed to say that! IanPaulHands-croppedThe second question was about what they missed from The Vampire Diaries set when they weren’t there. Paul immediately replied that it was gazing into Ian’s blue eyes! Ian responded that he missed Paul making him coffee every morning! Then they kidded about their bromance and having adjoining hotel rooms at Comic-Con! Ian shared his iPhone case which was a PhotoShopped image of him and Paul holding hands! When the subject of Silas was asked, Paul revealed that he knew about the storyline 5 months before the rest of the cast. He had a great response about underwater drowning scenes and how he felt about Stefan being at the bottom of the lake. The last question asked was about the subject of the now human Katherine and Caroline Dries, executive producer, revealed that Katherine would still be in their lives, whether they wanted her there or not, and that she’ll need them more than they’ll need her. This seemed to be the only spoiler. It’s been mentioned that Ian and Nina are dating again, but at the end of the interview Ian seemed eager to leave with Paul, leaving Nina on the couch. There has also been info suggesting there have been some awkward moments on set.
