Comic Fiesta Day 2 round-up: - The crowd at the Ballroom just - TopicsExpress

Comic Fiesta Day 2 round-up: - The crowd at the Ballroom just reached critical mass since the morning, to the point that I just didnt bother queueing up to go in. The crowd was just damn scary today... - ...but at least I found my fellow Singaporean cosplaying brethren camped at the billboards in Hall 6! It was great seeing familiar faces sharing the experience of going to an ACG event outside Singapore. - Summary: CROWDS EVERYWHERE. Conclusions: - The crowd gracing Comic Fiesta is a testament to its tag as the biggest ACG event in Malaysia, and despite the best efforts in crowd control, the lack of space within the convention halls hampered it. It may be due to the design of the convention halls or the layout of the convention, but I hope that it didnt dampen the fun that was had over the past 2 days of Comic Fiesta! - A few takeaways that can be applied to ACG events in Singapore include: the quality and showmanship of the stage performers, the energy and enthusiasm of the hosts and the audience participation, including the hosts connecting with the audience. As a stage performer and a frequent event-goer, weve got our work cut out... - ...and with all the quality and depth of the ACG talent pool, I hope that its possible to extend our invitations to the Malaysian performers to grace the stage in Singapores ACG events. Itd be a real honour to share the stage with them, be it in Singapores events or Malaysias. - I hope for more vigilance on our part as event-goers to keep our valuables safe and secure after complaints of pickpocketing happened during Comic Fiesta. We can put our valuables in a sling bag and keep it tight to ourselves. And with that, Comic Fiesta 2014 has come to a close. I hope to be back next year, and God willing I will try out performing. Overall thank-you/shout-out post will be up tomorrow once I return to Singapore.
