Comics are a gate way to reading, I read comics and because of great comic Giants, Adam Kubert, Brian Michael Bendis, Neil Gaiman, The immortal Alan Moore, I went on to read classic Fantasy/Sfi/Horror, Edgar Allen Poe, Love craft, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Tanith Lee, Jane Yolen, Alice Hoffman, which led me to read everything from Jack London to Hunter s Thompson, Maya Angelou, Keroac, Anne lammott, it exposed me to pop art, Warhol, Keith Haring, and it gave me life long love for music as well, Pink floyd, Led zepplin ,Nirvana,The pixies all influenced comics and were influenced by them, I love that Comics are trendy right now, they marry visual expression with social thought, Comics are not for the low -brow...
