Coming back into the LAWTF Office from the closing weekend of our FROM THE BEST OF THE FEST Benefit Performance at the Fremont Centre Theatre and I still feel like I am riding the theatre magic of this tremendous event! What a way to kick off our 21st season! This past weekend, Friday - Sunday, (2/21-2/23) the amazingly talented Kim Coles graced the stage of the Fremont Centre Theatre and simultaneously blew us all away and BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN! Ms. Coles is an idol to so many of us trying to make it in this industry, myself included, and I cannot even begin to explain how honored I am to have been a part of her work this last weekend. Her solo show entitled Oh, But Wait, Theres More! is an empowering, inspirational and incredibly moving performance piece about her personal story and the roller coaster ride of life and of the Hollywood industry, following all the glitz, glam, the highs and the lows. This piece is a zany, and irreverent solo performance that chronicles the ebb and flow of Kim Coles show biz rise and career with titillating inside Hollywood anecdotes and personal stories from her amazing world. With multi-media features, and even an interpretive dance number, Kim Coles finds true meaning beyond the red carpet. This is a story that everyone, within the industry or not, really needed to hear, and the audience didnt fail to make the connection known, as many of them exited the performance moved and exhilarated exclaiming, This, is MY story too and I couldnt agree more. Kim Coles is an amazing person and performer to work with, a joy to be around and an amazing inspiration to us all! I am truly humbled and honored to have been a part of this work and I encourage you ALL to figure out where this show will be next and FIND a way to be in that audience!
