Coming home was exciting and overwhelming at the same time. We came home to balloons, decorated chalkboards, flowers, clean house and stocked fridge! Jax and Hannah (AND ANDY) were all waiting for us and we all were so glad to be together and at home! We got to enjoy that for a few minutes before we started diving into the evening meds/procedures. Thankfully my mom came by (recently retired RN) and saved the day! Needles in the belly, flushing drains and med schedules had us quickly realize its time for a spreadsheet! Yes, we have a spread sheet for Chewys daily care. I have a whole new appreciation for nurses! Chewy had a lot of pain, looks a little jaundice and had a really hard time getting comfortable. Jax and I took all the back cushions off the couch and made a cocoon for him and that seamed to help. As we continue to journal his progress and our thoughts, we really appreciate the continued support, prayers, good wishes. With that said......... To whom ever cleaned my house, its probably best that you dont come forward. I cant let you live to tell about it. Just saying ;-)
