Coming off Waterloo Bridge on the Strand, theres a cycle lane going straight on over a pavement onto Wellington Street. Bicycles are in fast-moving traffic, entering the pavement at speed, and yet theres very little warning for pedestrians. Every time Im there I see a lot of conflict; unhappy pedestrians, and bicycle riders worried theyre going to hit someone on the pavement or get rear-ended by the vehicles behind them. Going the other way, onto Waterloo Bridge there are cycle traffic lights, but with very little clarity for pedestrians, they dont know to stop when the cycle lights are green, and a lot of the bicycle riders ring their bells aggressively and push their way through, worried theyre going to get caught by the rush of traffic if they dont get through quickly enough, causing alarm and upset for the pedestrians. goo.gl/maps/8SrEE
