Coming soon, in sha Allaah, a new series titled THE SECOND HALF aimed at assessing and addressing the genesis of some marital crisis and providing suggestions based on the teachings of the Kitaab and Sunnah plus the experiences of the married folks amongst us. The Ummah is suffering from marital relapse as the rate of divorce within the Muslim community takes a new twist and it seemingly looks unstoppable. How could you and I be of help? It is by contributing our little, based on knowledge of the Deen and experience accrued through years of marriage. It is important to state categorically that theres no such thing as a perfect Man (Husband) or a perfect Woman (wife), by Allaah, no marriage is perfect either. It is therefore upon you and I to stop chasing the cloned shadows of love, which have been portrayed either on the screen through terrible home videos, or in the cataclysmic cloud of peoples imaginations written in one magazine of love or the other; and perhaps the lies many were told by friends as regards what true love actually is. The reality is, every home is struggling to cope with the demands of marriage while others seems to have come to terms with it. In the end, the couple must understand that coming together wasnt for frivolity but as THE SECOND HALF of each others Deen, the need to chase a better Akhirah becomes a must. No reward do we ask of man or Jin but Allaah, for Allaah is the most merciful and the most magnificent. We sincerely hope and pray that Allaah helps rectify the affairs of the troubled homes and strengthened the bond of the peaceful homes through this. Aameen. Allaahul Mustaaan
