Coming to Clemson Little Theatre Dec. 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 & 14. The Christmas Foundling is a heartwarming tale that takes place during the California gold rush era. It’s about a baby boy orphaned in the California Sierra on Christmas Eve 1850 and raised by two curmudgeonly miners along with their three miner friends (and a goat). The miners that sought riches found them in great abundance that winter of 1850, unexpected riches, the riches of family, of children of caring for someone other than themselves. A decade later, the boy’s idyllic life is interrupted by the arrival of a meddling aunt, who attempts to give him a better life.
