Coming up: A handheld diagnostic lab that uses a drop of blood to perform a wide variety of tests. Now heres something that could/should reduce the cost of all those pricey lab bills. The list prices of the simplest lab tests, like complete blood counts, are often above $50 -- though insurers would never reimburse that much. But will this advance in technology be used to promote health or just to profit? Hope both.
