Coming up today: 2pm: Parting the foliage to uncover the forest cover in Peninsular Malaysia, once an unbroken landscape, now fragmented. Dr. Bala worked on the Central Spine Forest Masterplan, which we can use as a case study to explore the kinds of planning and cooperation between private and public sectors that are required to conserve and perhaps restore the ecological connectivity of our divided rainforests. Dr. Ahimsa shares with us his experience working with large mammals in Peninsular Malaysia. 3pm: Center for Asia Leadership Initiatives is a social enterprise comprising of fellows from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School, who develop customized curriculums to teach leadership and innovation in the 21st century. We speak to CALI president Samuel Kim to find out more. 4pm: Narcolepsy is more than just falling asleep at strange times during the day - it also includes sudden muscle weakness and even insomnia-like symptoms at night. We’ll be getting both sides of the story, from the perspective of a doctor, Dr. Hamdi Achok, as well as a patient of narcolepsy, Leon Beyleveld.
