Coming up tomorrow (Monday), in the Kafé, after Rush, after 3: Todd Mitchells guests will include Gary Emineth with a preview of The Legislature Today...Brads Business Beat...and a preview of 6 Brothers, which youll be able to see at the North Dakota Heritage Center next Sunday (1/11) at 2PM: 6 BROTHERS is an hour-long, Emmy-nominated documentary by Bismarck resident Daniel Stenberg. It focuses on the experiences of his grandfather’s family as North Dakotan homesteaders. Weaving together interviews, archival footage, and letters, the film shows how this ordinary North Dakota family survived the Great Depression, became deeply involved in World War II, and experienced many other joys and challenges of life during one of America’s most intriguing time periods. At this screening Daniel Stenberg will be in attendance to give background about the film, answer questions, and display some of the material (e.g. old letters, military and farm documents) that helped in his research for the film.
